COLOGNE, Germany – As Europe’s best-selling CV brand, Ford Pro is the envy of the industry and last week the company hosted a special event in the Czech Republic to showcase the versatility of its commercial vehicle portfolio.
Customers, dealers and media were invited to Prague to get up close to the latest Ford Pro products and to learn all about the Ford Pro ecosystem and the benefits it offers.
Ford Pro is a major player in the Czech Republic. Last year, the company sold 4,430 units there, and for the year-to-date up until April, Ford Pro was market leader.
Currently, the best-selling Ford Pro product in Czechia is Tourneo Custom followed by Transit and Transit Custom. Ranger also is very popular, dominating the pickup sales chart with a 44.3 per cent market share for the year-to-date. In fact, Ranger sold almost double the number of units than second-placed Toyota Hilux.
And while sales of all-electric commercial vehicles in the country are lower than the European average, demand has increased by 148 per cent year-on-year.
Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro Europe, attended the event in Prague and spoke to dealers and NSC employees about the Pro business in Europe. He also took part in a round table discussion with automotive and business media, as well as recording a podcast in a specially converted E-Transit mobile studio.
Guests also got to drive Ranger and Bronco off road, as well as checking out Ford’s latest electrified passenger vehicles – including Puma Gen-E and Mustang Mach-E Rallye.
Michal Suk, Chairman of the Czech Dealers Council, said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to hear from Hans on the Ford Pro business in Europe. It helped us to understand some of the factors that influence the situation on our market. As well, I’d like to thank Hans for his honest answers to all questions coming from Czech dealer network.”
Tereza Brejšová, Ford Pro Product Specialist, told @Ford: “It was a great day for our customers and business partners who had a chance to fully dive into the Ford Pro products and ecosystem and test drive the full CV and PV line-up. I am supper happy that I had a chance to meet with Hans and hear some inspiring words from him.”
