
Ford Thailand, in partnership with the Feeliq Innovation Motorsport team, recently showcased its continued excellent performance in the Thailand Rally Raid Championship 2025 (TRRC) Round 2 in Chachoengsao province. The Ford Ranger Raptor race car No. 5 secured second place in the T2 class and fifth place Overall, a class for vehicles developed from factories in Thailand.
Behind the wheel was Michael Freeman, an experienced driver, skillfully navigated by Thai talent Chaiya Chommalee, who together conquered the demanding course. Meanwhile, a world-class off-road racer, Bailey Cole took the wheel of Ford Ranger Raptor No. 21 on Thai soil for the very first time. Alongside, Thai navigator Sinapong Trairat, they tackled challenging muddy conditions - caused by weekend rainfall gaining invaluable experience that will fuel their determination in upcoming rounds.
But the excitement did not stop in the racetrack.
For the second time this year, Ford Thailand joins forces with the TRRC organizer in hosting the ‘Raptor Track Experience’. Inviting 20 Ford Ranger Raptor customers and medias to drive the Raptors on a 7-kilometre section of the actual race course in Chachoengsao province, experiencing various challenging terrains with experts leading and ensuring strict safety.
Throughout the adrenaline-fueled weekend, more than 85 additional enthusiasts took part in Ranger Raptor test drives, getting a true feel for what makes these trucks unbeaten champions of performance and versatility. Attendees explored every mode – from Sport and Slippery to Mud/Ruts, Rock Crawl, and Baja – each fine-tuned for conquering and road of terrain they encounter.
The Thailand Rally Raid Championship (TRRC) stand out as one of the major cross-country rally car racing events in Thailand, sanctioned by the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage (RAAT), competing for the Thailand Championship Royal Trophy bestowed by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun. It is intended to be the ultimate test of performance for four-wheel-drive vehicles in Thailand, where competitors face challenging terrains that prove their driving skills, the engineers' spirit and teamwork, and the overall performance of the race cars.
This round not only celebrated fierce racing but also deepened the bond between Ford, its loyal customers, and the motorsport community – uniting us in shared passion and pride. As we look forward to challenger ahead, the spirit and strength of the Ford Ranger Raptor continue to lead the way.
