Ford Thailand continues to build excitement around motorsport for the sixth consecutive year, recently hosting an action-packed viewing experience for over 180 Ford customers, employees, and media at the Thailand Super Series 2025, to support the Ford Thailand Racing (FTR) team at the Bangsaen Street Circuit on July 5-6.
The spotlight was on the newly developed #3 Ford Ranger Single Cab, which made it official racing debut – driven by renowned Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik, demonstrated proficient handling through notoriously challenging and unique coastal curves of Bangsaen, putting on a thrilling display for spectators. Though some challenges have been faced during Race 4, the team's seamless collaborations, technical capabilities and the vehicle's performance, made the race truck ready to compete in Race 5. What followed was a truly heroic comeback. Despite starting from the 22nd position, Stuvik unleashed a masterful performance, using his superior cornering skills to overtake seven rivals, showing strong performance.
"The recent race at Bangsaen was a showcased the incredible teamwork and spirit of Ford’s racing engineers, technicians, and drivers, who worked tirelessly under pressure to get the truck back on track," said Ratthakarn Jutasen, managing director of Ford Thailand. "We’re proud to continue offering these unforgettable experiences to our customers and employees. The Ford Thailand Racing team will now use the data gathered from both race trucks to prepare for the next races of the year."
The Ford Ranger Single Cab, driven by Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik, is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine designed for better low-rpm response. For racing purposes, the truck was upgraded with a new ventilation system, a hood scoop, and suspension settings adjusted to the car's weight and the bumpy road surface of the Bangsaen Street Circuit.
