MADRID, Spain – If you see or hear a Madrid Community Fire Department rescue vehicle in action, chances are that it’s a Ford responding to an emergency. That’s because Ford last year became the strategic partner of the Madrid Community Fire Department, providing a versatile fleet of 85 vehicles designed to handle everything from urban incidents to rescues in the most demanding forest areas of the region.
The partnership not only focuses on the power and mechanical reliability that Ford is known for but also introduces a strong component of sustainability and energy efficiency, adapting to new mobility demands in the capital and its surroundings.
For surveillance tasks, preventive patrols, and access to remote areas, Ford has supplied 27 Ford Rangers which are ideal for moving crews and teams off the beaten track where Ranger’s wading capability and all-wheel drive versatility are key. In addition, Ford also has provided six Ford Ranger Raptors for use by operational units that require superior response speed in extremely challenging terrain.
