On May 10, Ford China officially launched the 2026 ForDR Program. Seven dealerships across six cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuxi, Zhengzhou and Nanchang—simultaneously held program launch and Emergency Response Training Session, kicking off this year’s initiative with a synchronized multi-city effort. Led by instructors from local professional rescue teams, 240 Ford owners and community residents systematically practiced first aid, vehicle extrication and rescue techniques, becoming the first cohort of ForDR Guardians in 2026.

The training was compact and practical, following Ford China’s established approach of developing localized courses in collaboration with professional rescue teams. In the First Aid Skills module, instructor teams guided participants step by step through essential lifesaving techniques, including CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and the proper handling of common traumas. Under the hands-on guidance of experts, attendees practiced repeatedly to build confidence to act when it matters most. In the Vehicle Safety module, participants focused on vehicle submersion self-rescue, window-breaking escape techniques, and towing safety, significantly improving their emergency response capabilities in complex scenarios.

After completing the training, the certified participants officially joined the ForDR Alliance, stepping into their roles as ForDR Guardians to contribute to community disaster preparedness. On the same day, four dealerships signed cooperation memorandums with local rescue teams and inaugurated ForDR Alliance Emergency Support Stations, pledging comprehensive support for future rescue operations. Shanghai Fuheng Hongqiao, one of the first dealerships to join the Drive Food program, has committed to donating a batch of supplies to its partnered rescue team during this year’s Global Caring Month (GCM).

During the launch day, Ford China simultaneously hosted an official live stream with the theme of outdoor emergency rescue, paying tribute to Ford owners participating in frontline rescue during the broadcast and giving the first batch of AED devices, making Ford vehicles mobile first aid stations. The live stream garnered a total of 279,560 views and 335,210 interactions, and attracted 2,583 new brand followers.

The simultaneous launch across six cities marks a solid new step for the 2026 ForDR Program in both proactive preparedness and protective action. As the program enters its third year of steady progress, it will expand to nearly 30 cities across China, continuously broadening the reach of training and Emergency Support Stations. At the same time, in response to the increasingly diverse needs of participants with different skill levels, the program will upgrade its training system. The ForDR Alliance also plans to establish 15 additional dealership Emergency Support Stations this year, further expanding the on-the-ground support network, deepening the collaboration between dealerships and rescue forces.
