Watch as Serena Williams Gets a Navigator-Sized Surprise in London

Jun 30, 2026

It’s not every day that Ford sends a car overseas to bring a celebrity a little extra comfort. But it’s not every day that tennis superstar Serena Williams returns to Wimbledon after a four-year hiatus from singles matches.

Lincoln wanted to bring the longtime brand ambassador a little piece of home ahead of this monumental moment in her career, providing a familiar sanctuary where she can relax and recharge. So, the team had her custom Lincoln Navigator sent from her home in Florida to London.

“Is this a joke?” Williams asked, smiling, when she first spotted the Navigator while heading out practice. “This is crazy!”

Williams first received the custom Navigator this spring, after months of working closely with the design team on the ride.

The vehicle translates her story into bespoke features — everything from tennis-ball perforation patterns in the seats to hand-painted constellations on the center console. She decided to name the car “Rosalina,” a nod to the car’s pink hue and a rose insignia that’s etched into the B-pillar and rear Split Gate.

It was that signature rose that helped Williams recognize her Navigator right away in London.

Williams is set to compete in the women’s singles as a wild card entry on Tuesday. Later in the week, she’ll be reunited with her sister, Venus, for a doubles match at the same venue where the duo previously won six Grand Slam titles.

Stay tuned to Lincoln’s social channels for more content on Williams and Rosalina at Wimbledon.
